Located at the southernmost point of St Lucia is the second largest town and is a neat region that strikes a balance between island tranquillity and urbanization. From the shore, Vieux Fort is a mile away.
When it comes to natural attractions, the area to the north of Vieux Fort is slightly more desirable, although there are a few sites to be on the lookout for when you visit. Natural beauty can be found in the form of parks, and if you head right to the coast, the Fort Vieux Bay is something of historic and ecological significance.
The strong gusts of wind at Anse des Sables, make this area particularly popular for windsurfing. Guarded by Vieux Fort Bluff and looking out onto Maria Major Island, the views provided in all directions are exquisite.
