Dubai is a destination which is becoming increasingly popular with holiday makers from all over the world. It is probably most famous for being home to the man-made island known as the Palm, which holds one of the iconic hotels known as Atlantis the Palm. This hotel offers plenty for everyone, including its waterpark Aquaventure, Dolphin Bay, night clubs, numerous restaurants and of course you can do plenty of shopping.
Then there’s the worlds tallest, freestanding building, Burj Khalifa. You have to see it to believe it. Although you’ll be able to see it in the distance from almost anywhere in Dubai. The Burj Khalifa is just as stunning in the evenings, where it is lit up and “dances” in time with the Dubai Fountains; the worlds largest water show.
Dubai is known for it’s luxury shopping centres which are fully air conditioned so if you want to escape from the heat for a while then head to one of these and treat yourself.
Lots to See and Do
With it’s upcoming theme parks due to open at the end of 2016: Motiongate; Bollywood; Legoland; Lego Waterline; Riverland and Lapita you can guarantee you’ll have a holiday of a lifetime when visiting Dubai. Not forgetting the fact that Dubai International Airport will be changing to cargo only. This means that all flights will soon arrive and depart at Al Maktoum International Airport. This should make the transition through the airport much smoother for the 20million+ visitors per year that are expected by Dubai Tourism for this stunning city by 2020.
When in Dubai make sure you visit the Desert and experience The Sundowner Dune Dinner Safari. As you are driven through the desert to the middle of nowhere where you will watch the sunset and take some incredible photos, then go on to the camp where you will enjoy a feast under the stars. It will be an experience you will never forget.
If visiting for a short time, then it is recommended that you go on City Sightseeing Tour/City of Lights. This can be done either during the day or at night, where you can see the city beautifully lit. There are a number of routes for you to choose from and you can hop on and off the bus as man times as you like.
